Information we process
Account information may include your name, email address, profile photo, authentication provider, user and device identifiers, club memberships, selections, comments, chat messages, ratings, listening status, favorites, notification preferences, reports, and device notification tokens. Catalog search terms and feature interactions may also be processed to return music results and operate the app.
Spotify catalog search and auto-synced club playlists are provided through a dedicated Aux Club service account. Its authorization token is stored in a protected server-side record that app users cannot access. Members do not connect personal Spotify accounts, and Aux Club never receives or stores Spotify passwords.
If an iPhone admin enables Apple Music playlist sync, Aux Club stores protected Apple Music developer and Music User Tokens for that club so new selections can be added automatically. Other club members, including Android users, receive only the shared playlist link and do not need to connect Apple Music. Aux Club never asks for or stores an Apple ID or Apple ID password.
If you buy an optional supporter subscription, Apple processes the payment. Aux Club verifies Apple's signed purchase record and stores your supporter tier, transaction identifier, and expiration date to show your medal and restore your status. Other club members see your current tier, but not purchase details. Manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account; deleting your Aux Club account does not cancel Apple's renewal.
How information is used
We use this information to provide Aux Club, synchronize club activity and enabled playlists, deliver requested notifications, prevent abuse, diagnose crashes, and improve reliability. Crash diagnostics can include an account identifier, app version, device information, logs, and the circumstances of an error. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Sharing
Club profile information and contributions are visible to members of the relevant private club. Reports are visible to that club’s admins. Service providers such as Firebase, Apple, and Spotify process information as needed to provide their services.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your account from Aux Club Settings. Aux Club deletes your profile, messages, comments, ratings, listening activity, favorites, notifications, device registrations, reports, connected-service tokens, and club membership. Past catalog selections may remain in a club archive with attribution changed to “Former member” and personal notes removed. A last remaining admin must first appoint another admin when other club members remain. Disabling or deleting a club clears and retires its managed Spotify playlist. Apple Music sync authorization is deleted when disabled; because Apple controls the personal library, the authorizing admin’s iPhone clears the Apple Music playlist first.
Your choices
You can change notification choices, manage Apple Music permission in iOS Settings, disable a club playlist integration, mute club members, delete your own content, and delete your account in the app.
